Voyage schedule

The annual Primary Application call is used to allocate fully funded grants of sea time and build the Primary Voyage Schedule for RV Investigator.

Supplementary Applications typically require dedicated time and/or deployment of systems and may be multi-voyage. Due to their complexity and use of resources, Supplementary applications undergo a Supplementary Scheduling Assessment and require integration into the primary voyage’s activities.

Piggyback projects typically use the existing resources and equipment allocated to a voyage, and may not require a berth (ie may not require the scientist to be on board). Piggyback projects are low in complexity and result in little or no disruption to the delivery of the primary voyage objectives. Piggyback projects undergo a feasibility assessment and can be added with the approval from the MNF.
